What is bushing?
|

As you know, bushing is the removable metal lining
of a pivot hole, axle bearing for reducing friction
or
securing a tighter fit. Since busing is a slide bearing,
it can carry heavier weights than a roller
bearing.
Therefore, bushing is mostly used in coupling parts of
heavy duty construction equipment.
Bushing must
be supplied fair amount of lubricant to reduce the friction,
to lower the heat and to
stop a foreign substance
coming in. To optimize such lubrication, it must have
various oil grooves.

Recently

ferrous and nonferrous materials
to produce best bushing. And other bushings are available
such as
oil-less magnetic bushings and oil contained
